Guideline 3: Provide options for comprehension
This principle focuses on the way that Information can be presented in many different ways according to the learner’s individual needs, interests, knowledge and learning style.
Several examples include, providing text differently through vision, hearing or touch. Technology may offer the opportunity to customize the material being presented.
Rather than just making information accessible, it is essential that this information is processed into usable knowledge. Applying cross-curricular activities and scaffolding new information with prior knowledge can do this.
