Learning Strategies

We know that we don’t all learn in the same way. This means that in order to learn in the best way possible, we each need to identify our own learning style, and use different strategies. These strategies can be used to help students understand information and solve problems. A learning strategy can be described as a person's approach to learning and using information. While sometimes children are able to manage without learning and experiencing different strategies, many times deep learning does not take place. But the responsibility does not fall solely on the student, but also on the teachers and professionals. Teachers should make the students participate more actively in their own learning by exposing them to different learning styles, and showing them different strategies they could use, as well as teaching them how to use what they have learned to solve problems and be successful.

One such method that may be used which has been very successful is the Let Me Learn program.
